The FIGSS is aimed at all doctoral students who have a contract with the FIAS or are supervised by a FIAS Fellow. 

Yes! the introduction event is an integral part of FIGSS and therefore compulsory for all new FIGSS members. 

Yes, a short 5 minute introduction of yourself. In addition, there will be scientific lectures by fellows, postdocs, and experienced doctoral students. This will give you an insight into the diverse research at FIAS. 

If you are unable to attend for health reasons or are not in Frankfurt at the moment, you are welcome to follow the lectures online. The interactive part is only available here on site.

Of course you already know the FIAS and all the important information about the promotion, but the Welcome Days are a great opportunity to network and get to know your new fellow students. You are welcome to attend the whole event or just a part of it.
